In a public statement made on Wednesday the 11th day of April 2022, at Federal Capital Territory Abuja, at the end of the meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressive Congress APC; the party’s national Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, announced that the party being the ruling party of the country (Nigeria) has kicked started the sales of its nomination forms for all offices including the presidential and governorship positions.
Mr Felix Morka, in his statement, told the press that the form for the presidential electoral position will go at a whopping sum of 100 million (one hundred million) naira only while that of the governorship electoral position will go at the sum of 50 million (fifty million) naira only.
The Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Felix Morka, also told the press that as for the senatorial seat, it was agreed at 20 million (twenty million) naira only and 10 million (ten million) naira only for House of Representatives, while the House of Assembly will go for 2 million (two million) naira only.
Mr. Felix Morka also made known that the party’s National Executive Committee has approved 30th May and 1st June 2022, for its special convention for the 2023 presidential primaries election and 18th May for its governorship primaries.
Mt Morka also seized the medium to announce to the public that any female member of the party who wishes to aspire for any of the above mentioned mentioned electoral offices would be offered the nomination form free of charge, irrespective of the position which such a woman aspires for. He mentioned that this privilege can also be enjoyed by any member who may have a physical disability and is willing to contest.
He further made known that the parties National Electoral Commission (NEC) has as well offered a bounty 50% discount to any youth between the ages of 25-40 years on any form purchased. This, he said was in light to the fact that APC wishes to provide a fair playing ground for all.
